The Dog and Pony show..

Advertising photographers on shoots that include crew, art directors, catering, the works, normally refer to the whole caboodle as ‘The Dog and Pony Show’. Well earlier in the week I had my very own….with a real live dog and pony!

The shoot was commissioned by the London based Mission21 agency for an English Heritage promo on ‘Dogs through History’. The idea was to emulate an old WW1 press photo which showed an officer leading his horse back from the front line along a lane, giving a lift to his Jack Russell dog who was riding nonchalantly on the saddle.

We shot this in Yorkshire (no budget to go to Flanders!). The dog and pony were supplied by Sue Clarke to whom I’m so grateful that her animals are well trained…

Until later……
