Living France magazine

Just a quick post (after that lengthy last one!) about an image. Discovered a nice cover image sale to Living France magazine a couple of days ago. It’s a shot of Monflanquin, a small medieval town in the Lot region of South West France. Taken in the heat of the day in mid-August you can feel the sunshine bouncing off the page!

As a stock photographer I am used to sales of every kind (thankfully) but it still raises a smile to see a cover image pop up in the sales data and to get to see how the typography has been applied. Read the rest of this entry »

My, how the months fly by… it only seems like Christmas was last week, (which coincidentally is the last time I posted – oops).  A determined blogger I’m not.

So, I hear you cry, what have you been up to? The answer is that I’ve had my fingers in many pies, some sweet some sour, some hot that went cold and some cold that turned very hot!  Loads, and I mean loads of planning and admin too. Photography is not all about shooting, and certainly not in the world of stock photography!  I’ve made a choice to concentrate on stock image production for the forseeable future and that is paying off with good sales and increased opportunities. ‘Will run for money’…

Here’s a quick frame from a recent stock shoot where the subject was lifestyle. Yes, this is northern England, and yes, the sun is shining. I hadn’t planned this at all but this sort of weather is rarer than a Tottenham premiership win and I just had to take the opportunity.
